Project initiation
From the outset of a project, BTI’s Project Managers support the key project stakeholders in the development of business case studies, cost benefit evaluations, and front end support for sanctioning of project funding. Our Project Management Office provides for the complete gambit of project initiation, development tools, and templates from project charters, execution methodology statements, and preliminary scope, to deliverable list support.
The goal of our project initiating support is to ensure that our client’s projects and associated scope are well defined to ensure appropriate sanctioning, provide clarity to the approving management and supply chain management stakeholders, identifying the project lifecycle, and addressing the appropriate audience.
Our project initiation encompasses, but is not limited to, the following:
– Project Charters
– Cost Estimate (aligned to AACE 18R-97)
– Preliminary Scope Statements
– FEED Design Basis Memorandums
– Preliminary recourse loaded/costed project schedules

Project execution
Project execution for BTI is not just starting a project and billing hours, but ensuring that the scope is clear, boundaries are set and understood, and expectations are identified. Our PMO identifies the specific steps that our team(s) must undertake to ensure the alignment to client-driven expectations and standards. Our systems have been refined to ensure that gaps do not exist in the delivery of projects. Our management plans, execution strategies, and methodologies build on the initial steps undertaken to ensure that when our teams do get down to work they know what the finish line looks like.
Through our management tools such MS Project, SharePoint, and the MS Office suite of applications our teams follow established and project-proven workflows, reporting and delivery schedules.

Monitoring and control
Using a comprehensive reporting and time tracking system, BTI is able to provide reporting on project progress and budget in near real-time fashion. Depending on the scope and complexity of the project and defined reporting requirements from our clients, BTI can provide the analytics to identify the trends in cost, schedule, and deliverables for the project.
Reporting can be as simple as a table and graph or as complex as a burndown chart, cashflow forecasting, SPI, CPI, and business intelligence reporting and trends.
